Tracking time and money in Session Packs

Session Packs are a very useful feature you can use when creating new appointments in Power Diary. This month we enhanced their power so they can be used to keep track of many things: the number of sessions a client attended, the total amount of money spent over many sessions, OR the total time of appointments attended. We introduced the concept of Pack Units so that you can build the right type of Session Pack for your practice: choose session, time, or money as the unit for the pack, and define the maximum units in the pack.

Medicare Integration Updates

The major updates mandated by Medicare in Australia are progressing as planned. Health clinics in Australia may have been notified about this change via a letter from Medicare like this. This is a major update and we expect to be ready with the development work this month. The mandatory certification and integration testing process will start after that to have our changes approved by Medicare. We expect to be ready well ahead of the March 2022 deadline.

It’s worth mentioning that Power Diary provides a native integration to Medicare and does not go through any third parties. This means that our systems are subject to direct security checks and verification by Medicare in order to be certified. As always, there are no extra charges for processing Medicare & DVA claims through our direct integration.

New Tyro HealthPoint Integration

We’re pleased to say that development work on our Tyro HealthPoint integration in Australia is now done, and it received the final approval from Tyro. We are preparing to open the functionality up to our users soon.
