Waitlist Feature to Fill Cancellations
At Power Diary, we understand how time-consuming it can be to fill cancellations, and when they come at short notice, they also carry a potential loss of earnings should the appointment not be filled. Although other systems offer a waitlist feature, Power Diary offers some unique time-saving functionalities, including the ability to send bulk SMS messages to clients on the waitlist directly via the app.
Unlike most systems which simply list clients waiting in the order that they joined the ‘queue’, Power Diary enables the list of clients to be filtered, and sorted by criteria such as current length of wait, their preferred practitioner, or their availability. By utilising this, you can select the group of clients you initially wish to offer the appointment to, and a text message will be sent to them. All you then have to do is wait for the slot to be taken!
Medesk does not offer a waitlist feature, so any cancellations must be filled with manual outreach.
Free Online Bookings and Payment Processing Integration
Both Power Diary and Medesk facilitate online bookings via the client portal, but only with Medesk will you be charged a fee for the feature, costing £3.80/month for up to 100 appontments**.
In addition, both systems are able to process online payments via an integration with Stripe. Accepting online payments enables practitioners to require prepayments for online bookings or Telehealth appointments.
Although there is no fee associated with setting up an account with Stripe, there is a small fee per transaction made. For this reason, there is no additional charge incurred when you integrate your Power Diary and Stripe accounts. This differs with Medesk, where practitioners will be required to pay a minimum of £3.80 per month for the integration.
Advanced Two-Way Communication
Good communication is vital when running a health practice, which is why both systems facilitate email and SMS messaging, including appointment reminders, but with one notable difference…
Unlike Medesk, Power Diary supports two-way communication directly within the app. All communication sent and received is grouped together for seamless conversations with clients, colleagues and other healthcare providers. To your clients, it’ll just seem like a normal text chat!
In addition to this, when sending appointment reminders to your clients, only Power Diary is able to process any SMS responses received, updating them within the diary to either confirmed or cancelled; another functionality not supported by Medesk.
Improved Marketing and Client Relationships
As well as bulk email capabilities within the app, Power Diary offers a free integration with Mailchimp. Both of these are ideal for increasing your marketing efforts and improving on existing client relationships.
Mailchimp allows for 12,000 emails to be sent per month at no cost. By importing your client database directly into your Mailchimp account, you’ll be set to start sending beautiful, automated emails in no time. Perfect for sending newsletters, or information on promotional offers and upcoming events. Even a simple ‘Happy Birthday!’ email will go a long way.
Medesk does not facilitate bulk email, nor does it offer an email marketing integration.
