What’s the difference between
Carepatron and Power Diary?
If powerful integrations, a waitlist, email marketing, reports, robust invoicing and online forms features are important for your practice, not to mention our competitive pricing with a money-back guarantee, then Power Diary is the right choice for you. Particularly if you need the ability to send online forms with fields that auto-populate to your clients’ profiles upon completion.
Below we’ve outlined some important differences between the two platforms, to help you make an informed decision.

Why should you choose Power Diary?
REASON #1
Waitlist Feature
At Power Diary, we understand that cancellations are an inevitable part of running a practice. Our waitlist feature allows practitioners to quickly fill appointments that have recently become available, giving you the best chance of maintaining a full schedule- saving your practice time and money. We make it simple to add clients to your list, change the order of clients, and send SMS or email messages to clients directly through the list.
Carepatron does not offer a waitlist feature, so if you want to keep track of your waitlist, you’ll have to maintain it separately outside the platform.
REASON #2
Time-Saving Online Forms
Power Diary’s online forms help practitioners worldwide streamline their business administration. That’s because our forms are easy to set up, they can be used to request signatures, forms can be sent by SMS, client responses are automatically saved and added to their record, and practitioners receive a notification when forms are submitted (with the option to notify other team members, too!).
Carepatron offers the ability to share documents with clients, but the documents must then be printed, filled in manually, scanned and uploaded.
When it comes to running an efficient, paperless practice with less time spent on administration, Power Diary is the clear choice.
REASON #3
Powerful Integrations with Industry-Leading Platforms
Power Diary offers multiple integrations that improve both your and your clients’ experience. In addition to integrating with Xero and Stripe for seamless invoicing and payment processing, Power Diary also integrates with Mailchimp, giving you the tools to enhance your marketing efforts and improve client relationships. You can quickly export your client database directly into Mailchimp and start sending emails for free. Additional integrations include Google Calendar for appointment synching and Physitrack, an exercise prescription platform used by more than 30,000 practitioners.
While Carepatron integrates with Stripe and Google Calendar, it lacks the other integrations that make Power Diary a powerful all-in-one solution for your practice.
REASON #4
Robust Reporting & Analytics
When it comes to understanding how your practice is performing, reports are absolutely essential. Power Diary gives you quick access to more than 26 reports, from client retention to financial analysis, so that you have the insights you need to move your business forward. Find out who your top referrers are, how clients found your practice and much more in just a few clicks.
Carepatron doesn’t offer a reporting function, so if you want to dive into your business metrics, you’ll be on your own.
REASON #5
Comprehensive Invoicing Features
Power Diary’s invoicing function is designed to streamline your administration and reduce time spent chasing payments. Practitioners can resend or recreate invoices to follow up on outstanding payments, create invoices with multiple clients, accept full or partial payments, combine multiple invoices into statements, generate aged receivable reports, and spend less time invoicing with automation.
While Carepatron offers invoicing, the functionality is limited compared to Power Diary. Carepatron invoices must be created manually, insurance details can’t be included, there’s no ability to invoice multiple clients to a single organisation, no function to generate statements, and partial payments can’t be applied to invoices (only full payments are allowed). Additionally, Carepatron doesn’t offer the ability to resend or recreate invoices, or to generate aged receivable reports.
If you’re looking for a practice management system with comprehensive, flexible invoicing that helps you to work with your clients’ needs; then Power Diary is the way to go.
REASON #6
In-Platform Practice Operations Manual
When you choose Power Diary, you’re selecting the first (and only!) practice management system that includes an in-platform Practice Operations Manual. The Manual contains over 100 policy and procedure templates written by industry experts with more than 50 years of combined experience. This time-saving feature allows you to edit, delete or archive the existing policies, add external links and upload files- and even add in your own policies.
As soon as your free trial begins, you’ll have access to the Practice Operations Manual. Carepatron doesn’t offer this feature (in fact, no one else does!), so if you don’t already have your policies set, you’ll need to start at square one.
No risk with our Money-Back Guarantee
Yes, you read that right! Simply start your account now, and if at any point over the next 12 months you decide Power Diary isn’t right for you, just let us know. We’ll refund 100% of any subscription fees you’ve paid.
